A separate operation in the village of Dar al-Wasaa in the Bekaa Valley targeted homes of suspects wanted for drug trafficking. Military units raided the locations and seized quantities of narcotics along with machinery used for their production, though the statement did not specify the types of drugs or quantities involved.
At a checkpoint in Safra in the Bekaa, two men identified as D.D. and D.R.D. were stopped at a military cordon. They were found to be carrying cannabis, military weapons and ammunition and were detained.
In the Tabbaneh area of Tripoli in the north, troops raided the homes of wanted suspects. A man identified as S.A. was arrested for possession of several hand grenades, which were seized.
All four detainees have been handed over to the competent judicial authorities, and investigation proceedings have begun under judicial oversight. The military statement did not indicate whether the four arrests are connected or part of a broader operation.
