A patrol from State Security's North Regional Directorate, working with the Commerce and Economy office in the North, carried out inspections of generators in Abi Samra in Tripoli and al-Miniyeh at the referral of the appellate public prosecutor's office in the North.
The inspections found that some generator operators were not adhering to official pricing set by the Ministry of Energy, and had violated regulations governing operating hours. Five generators were confiscated in Abi Samra for the municipality of Tripoli, and six in al-Miniyeh for the municipal authorities.
Violation reports were filed against the operators and legal measures were initiated under the direction of the competent courts.
