Israeli forces conducted widespread strikes across southern Lebanon, with aircraft bombing multiple villages, artillery targeting populated areas and fires spreading across fields as combat intensified throughout the day.
Israeli military operations across southern Lebanon escalated with coordinated air strikes, artillery barrages and ground incursions affecting dozens of villages. The strikes extended from the Marjayoun plain and Deir Mimass in the east to Markaba, Srbin and al-Mansouri in the west, according to the National News Agency and local media reports.
The western sector of Tyre district saw two air strikes on al-Mansouri and another on Wadi Hassan in Tirhharfa, accompanied by large-scale explosions in al-Mansouri and Majdal Zoun. Heavy 155mm artillery fire struck Ainata and Beit Leef in Bint Jbeil district.
Military vehicles crossed from Hadatha into Hariss in Bint Jbeil district and raked the village edges with machine gun fire. An Israeli drone struck a van in Doha Kafrriman, destroying the vehicle with no reported casualties.
Fires spread across agricultural fields in the Marjayoun plain after Israeli artillery struck the area beneath Hammass hill, with wheat fields igniting as wind conditions worsened the situation. Smoke rose continuously from the fields in what is known as the Yellow Line, a demarcation area along the border.
In Deir Mimass, intermittent Israeli artillery fire continuing since early morning sparked fires that stretched from the Litani river course to woodland below the Markes station. Fires spread through forested and surrounding areas amid difficulties controlling them due to continued shelling and on-ground conditions.
The Israeli military carried out two major explosions in Markaba and further explosions in Srbin, along with large-scale blasts in al-Mansouri and visible damage from strikes in Tirhharfa al-Sharqiya.
The day's operations distributed air strikes, shelling, explosions and military incursions across the western sector, Bint Jbeil and Marjayoun districts, affecting al-Mansouri, Tirhharfa, Majdal Zoun, Arnoun and Srbin, with artillery fire also striking Ainata and Beit Leef and Israeli military movement recorded in several border areas.
