The Israeli military carried out multiple operations in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, including a major explosion in Zawtar al-Sharqiyeh that resonated across the region.
The Israeli army executed a large explosion in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyeh at approximately 9 a.m. on Tuesday, with the blast heard strongly across most southern towns, according to the National News Agency.
In the early hours of Monday night, an Israeli armoured force advanced toward Sawwan hill in Meyfoudin, located within the Yellow Line, and took position in a house in the area.
Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike at 4 a.m. on the Litani river below Deir Mar Mima in the town of Deir Mimass.
The town of Markaba in Marjeyoun district came under Israeli artillery fire as Israeli vehicles moved through the area.
Israeli forces present in Kafarkela and Tel Nahhas constructed an earthen berm at the triangle of Deir Mimass, Borj al-Muluk and Kafarkela, pointing toward Tel Nahhas, approximately 150 metres from populated houses in Borj al-Muluk. A second earthen berm was constructed at the triangle of Deir Mimass, Borj al-Muluk and Houra, pointing toward Houra.
An explosion was recorded in Kafartbenit on Monday that reverberated strongly across southern areas. Another large explosion occurred in Yahmar al-Shaqif with similar reverberations across the region.
Airstrikes targeted the outskirts of Maghdel Zoun in Tyre district and the town of Houla. Israeli forces demolished infrastructure and a number of houses in Maghdel Zoun in Tyre district.
