Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon expanded with airstrikes, ground incursions and controlled explosions across multiple towns, resulting in the detention of three residents from Halta.
Israeli forces carried out extensive operations across southern Lebanon on Monday, demolishing residential buildings and infrastructure in several locations. The National News Agency reported that Israeli troops used explosive-filled barrels to destroy structures in the eastern and fourth quarters of disputed territory between Mansouri and Maghdlzoun.
Unmanned Israeli warplanes conducted two waves of strikes on Harj Ali al-Tahir, part of ongoing bombardment on that axis. In Hasbaiya district, an Israeli force entered Halta in the morning, surrounded several houses and prevented residents from leaving before detaining three men identified as Qassem Abdal-Aal, Hatem Abdal-Aal and Zail Ghassaan Abdal-Aal, the National News Agency said.
After the arrests, the Israeli force withdrew toward occupied Palestinian territory. In the Nabatiyeh area, the Israeli military carried out a large explosion in Kafr Tibnit described as the largest of its kind in the town, sending smoke clouds visible across the south. Three further explosions were detonated in Bani Hayyan.
The operations reflect a widening military campaign involving artillery fire, airstrikes, ground incursions and controlled demolitions concentrated on the Nabatiyeh, Ali al-Tahir and border village axes.
