Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said he will open the Strait of Hormuz to shipping if Washington fulfils its commitments, including forcing Israel to end its attacks on Lebanon.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that he has agreed with the Sultanate of Oman on a shipping corridor through the Strait of Hormuz, and briefed the Supreme Leader on this agreed route.
Pezeshkian set conditions for opening the strait to navigation, including the United States lifting its blockade and sanctions on Iran and releasing frozen Iranian funds.
The Iranian president demanded that Washington force Israel to halt its attacks on Lebanon as a condition for Iran implementing this commitment.
Pezeshkian affirmed that these conditions are contained in a memorandum of understanding with the United States, and that Iran expects Washington to implement its commitments.
The Iranian president stressed the necessity of building good relations with neighbouring countries and achieving shared security among them.
